Spring 2014 schoolwork, done with a group of other students, where a loops-related episode of the NPR podcast "Radiolab" had to be adapted into a book showcasing its themes of loops.

In one assignment for our Graphic Design II class in Spring 2014, we were put into three groups based upon an episode of the NPR podcast “Radiolab.” The group I got was for the episode about loops. We had to transcribe the episode and design & produce a book based on the episode’s topic.

A few obvious ideas I developed for the book were to have it spiral bound and have the front and back covers be both the same, to show the looping theme.

For the pages of the book (hardly any visuals here due to my fellow classmates’ less than stellar transcribing skills compared to me), I tried two versions. One idea was each page having varying visuals, sometimes overtaking the whole spread, repeated to the relevant section, whether it be loops in nature, loops in music, etc.

Another idea I had for the pages was for them to form a sort of gradient where each section of the podcast would be a different color while the first and last sections would be the same color, similar to the cover. There would also be intervals showing designs of circles.
