Americus Video #5 – "Nice Corpse"

I got the idea for this issue's title after hearing about exquisite corpses. The issue itself, however, is more an example of a surreal stream-of-consciousness, not an exquisite corpse.

I had developed the starting idea while sketching. Among many things, I drew the Twin Towers and a plane zooming towards them, only to splat into one of them rather than cause any destruction.

I thought that the gag with the plane and the Twin Towers wasn't enough and developed this stuff about the Opposing Planes (man, I wish I thought of a better name) and the banana monster to follow it. This part was inspired by Terry Gilliam's animation from Monty Python's Flying Circus, “The Killer Cars.”

Additionally, this is the first webcomic issue I made at 72 ppi, with no prior 300 ppi version existing.
