The Sbuirrels #5 - “Crime”

This issue is another Deadfall-inspired one; it's based on a scene where Eddie (Nicolas Cage) and his girlfriend try to do a con in a bar, and do so poorly. The opening scene is based upon a now-lost YouTube video (from c. 2011, basically a shitpost, even though they weren't call that then). It was a series of such videos by someone featuring Nic Cage scenes from Deadfall. I can't recall the original creator at the moment, but I do remember his first name being Travis.

Of all the off-model artwork in the early comics, nothing irritates me more than Mary's hideously damaged arm in the last panel of page 5. But on the bright side, I guess, the first panel of the same page does look pretty fantastic.
