The Sbuirrels #7 - “Why Can't I...?”

This and issue 6 are the first two issues of The Sbuirrels to feature cover artwork. After the ending of the previous issue, Ryan seems to have recovered. This issue marks the debut of Jenny, the gorilla woman Ryan lusts over. To clarify things, Mary's reaction on page 2, panel 5 isn't out of jealousy for not getting Ryan; she loves Ed deeply and is very loyal to him (despite his temperament and shortcomings). Rather, Mary thinks that Jenny is out of Ryan's league.

I'll admit that I didn't develop Jenny much beyond someone Ryan has the hots over. Mary acting confused as to why Ryan would want her seemed to give Jenny some more depth to me. Ryan's closing line is a reference to Square Root of Minus Garfield.
