Derek meets Benjamin, disapproving of his continuous tracks, but of course, he'll find them useful by the end.

The thing that bugged me about this one was the ending. I wish I had added one more tiny joke at the end to make the repetition seem worth while, instead of basically saying “he puffed towards home this time.”


Benjamin is named after Benjamin Holt, president and one of the founders of the Holt Manufacturing Company, which was the first company to create continuous track tractors. The Holt Manufacturing Company later merged with a competitor, C. L. Best, to form what would be known today as Caterpillar, Inc.
